Beautiful dress but already balling after one wear

I bought this dress for my daughter’s first birthday. It’s exactly what I wanted! It looked beautiful on her. I love the dress.

She wore it for about half a day and unfortunately the lace part is already balling / pulling. I guess it was probably because people were cuddling her and holding her and the lace was rubbing on other materials.

I would also size up. I bought my daughter a 2, the arms were a little long but the rest was great.
She can definitely still wear it but it doesn’t look like she’s worn it just once.
